JISEL E. LOPEZ was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic on September 9, 1978. She is admitted to practice in Maine and in the United States District Court for the District of Maine.
Ms. Lopez is a 2001 graduate of Colby College (B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa), and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law (J.D., cum laude).
Ms. Lopez is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association, the Maine Estate Planning Council, and the Edward Thaxter Gignoux Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Women's Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association and the Maine Women's Network. In February 2007, Ms. Lopez was elected to serve on the Trustee committee of the James Rackleff Trust by the Portland City Council. The Trust awards annual scholarships to residents of the City of Portland. Ms. Lopez is fluent in French and Spanish.
